Fading

All is black and white

The color gone

like twilight

I look at my hands

what do they say?

they tell a story

but who will write it?

They want to caress

to love

but no more.

No more will they dance gracefully

no more

they fade to

black and white

and shades of grey

its hard to see

hard to hear

animated no

more.

That story you tell in your last post is moving! I know what you mean, wondering why some people have more than I do; and then feeling bad for resenting someone who was good to me; then something happens which really stops me short. It's a good read and a timely reminder. And I wanted to tell you that I'm glad of my comment on my blog. It is true what you say, as well. There are those who do not see much of a future so they get what they can in the short term. Yes, you make a good comment. I'll remember you in prayer and pray that you see more to be glad of. My marriage nearly ended 20 years ago and it would have been a wretched thing if it had. Just for a start, our younger three children would not have been born. Sometimes we've had money struggles and it does not seem to be just or fair. Funny world! But then remember what Jesus said in the Beatitudes, which you probably know well; and Luke 6:20 "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied." It's easier for me to type this than it is to endure, but we all find God lives up to His promises. Blessings to you and all yours.
